The network is aimed at
supporting
1)
Commercial accountants who prepare and audit accounts for voluntary and
community groups and
2)
Volunteer treasurers who prepare/ oversee accounts for voluntary and
community groups.
The network provides an
opportunity for accountants and treasurers to gain and share information on
topics relevant to charity accounts and have the opportunity to discuss
particular issues and concerns they may have. The network enables charity
accountants and treasurers to receive information about key features of charity
accounting and alert them to any changes.
The network will meet three
times per year when speakers and specialists on particular topics would feature
and would be of interest to either commercial accountants or volunteer
treasurers. Topics will be determined by the network members themselves but examples
of topics could be
