At the annual Civic Dinner

Voluntary Service (CVS) was presented with a "Civic Award" in
recognition of 100 years volunteer service and outstanding contribution to the
City of Carlisle.
Lynne Sneap, Chief
Officer at Carlisle CVS said
" I was delighted to
collect the award in our centenary year on behalf of Carlisle CVS and really
pleased that the tremendous contribution to local communities made by voluntary
activity has been recognised"
Leader of the city
council Mike Mitchelson said
" The five awards were
a selection of community, sporting and business and recognized the contributions
the winners have made to the city. The Civic Awards are an opportunity to
highlight the great work achieved by Carlisle individuals and organisations.
Congratulations to all the winners".
